Our Story

Rare Thing began in Brighton with one simple idea — to create a space where beautiful meaningful jewellery meets good people and good energy. Everything is slow made, in-house using recycled gold & silver, with the workshop right in the shop.

Alongside our work, you’ll find carefully chosen art and gifts from other independent makers who share that same spirit and are doing things in their own way.

We work with recycled metals, thoughtful design, and respect for traditional craft. Every piece is made to last a lifetime, a heirloom to be loved - tactile, and full of life.

Workshops

Join us and make something special in one of our hands-on workshops. Choose from silver ring, hoop earrings, or bangle workshops — no experience needed. We’ll guide you through every step in a creative, inclusive, and friendly space right inside our Brighton shop. Come and learn traditional techniques and leave with a piece of jewellery that you have made yourself.

We also run wedding ring workshops where the couple can come and share a meaningful experience and make a memory to last a lifetime
