Rare Thing opened in November 2022. We wanted to create a space where customers can come and find handmade jewellery, unique pieces, all made from recycled gold and silver alongside other small independent brands. We work hard to give our customers a choice of products that they may not have come across before, while also supporting small business.

All our jewellery is made in house, the workshop is in the shop and this is what makes us unique and able to produce custom pieces.

Permanent jewellery is also offered in store, we have a beautiful range of solid recycled gold and silver chains ready to permanently weld. See the permanent jewellery page for more details.

We also run a variety of workshops including silver ring making & hoop earrings where you can come to the shop and learn about the tools, processes and methods of creating silver jewellery and make a piece to take home. We are a safe space and inclusive to all, we would love you come and learn with us.

Our courses are aimed at beginners and currently run from 1200-1600 on Sundays. We can also accommodate group bookings, just drop us an email at hello@rare-thing.co.uk

We specialise in unique engagement rings and wedding rings, everything from silver through to 18ct gold, especially for the LGBTQ+ community.
